GoHealth Urgent Care
Role & Impact
Design Patient- and Staff-facing digital experiences that simplify healthcare registration and operational workflows. My work spans GoReg and GoAdmin, where I translate complex healthcare and business requirements into intuitive, accessible, and scalable solutions.
My impact focuses on reducing friction, improving workflow efficiency, and creating more cohesive experiences for patients and care teams.

Medicare Secondary Payer Questionnaire (MSPQ) — GoReg Registration Platform

Overview
GoHealth needed a compliant, state-specific way to collect Medicare Secondary Payer (MSP) information during patient registration — without adding friction for the majority of patients who don't need to see it. I owned the end-to-end UX/UI design for a new MSPQ questionnaire inside GoReg, from requirements interpretation through final, developer-ready mockups.

The Problem
Federal billing rules require providers to determine whether Medicare is the primary or secondary payer whenever a patient carries Medicare alongside other coverage. he business requirement was clear: trigger the questionnaire only when it's actually relevant when Medicare is the patient's sole coverage or one of multiple coverages on the visit and keep the experience as lightweight as possible for everyone else.

Design Approach
-
Conditional triggering, not a blanket form.
-
Consistency with existing GoReg patterns.
-
Progressive disclosure via single-section pacing.
-
Yes/No-driven conditional logic.
-
Minimizing patient effort.
-
Dual-path usability.
-
Attestation and submission.

Outcome
The result is a fully conditional, state-aware MSPQ experience that fits seamlessly into GoReg's existing registration flow, satisfies Medicare Secondary Payer compliance requirements, and asks each patient only the questions their specific coverage situation actually requires while remaining usable in both self-service and staff-assisted registration contexts.
